The Great Kilt — the Feileadh Mor — is the original Highland garment, worn by Scottish clansmen since the early 1600s. Unlike the modern knee-length kilt, it's a single long length of tartan, pleated and belted at the waist, with the remaining fabric draped over the shoulder for warmth and freedom of movement.

Our Anderson Tartan Great Kilt is handmade from 13oz acrylic wool, giving you the clan-correct Anderson colors in a durable, easy-care fabric that holds its pleats through repeated wear. Cheater pleats are sewn in ahead of time, so you get the full traditional silhouette without needing to learn to pleat it yourself.

Available in 4 to 10 yards to suit a range of waist sizes — ideal for clan gatherings, Highland games, historical reenactment, or any occasion calling for authentic Anderson tartan.

Sizing Guide

• 4–5 Yards: waist up to 34"–42"
• 6 Yards: waist up to 40"–48"
• 7 Yards: waist up to 46"–54"
• 8 Yards: waist up to 52"–60"
• 9–10 Yards: waist up to 58"–72"
