Glengarry hats & Balmoral bonnets are traditional part in Scottish highland dress, balmoral hats are firstly started in 16th century. The balmoral cap is rounder in shape as compared to glengarry hat. Originally, the balmoral hat was knitted, felt, wool cap. However, todays balmoral bonnet is smaller and made of finer cloth. The Balmoral bonnet now has ribbons attached to its back and is topped off with (pompom) toorie, which is traditionally red.
